Drawn to design. Ever
since I was a kid I loved to draw and design. In high school,
I was fortunate to meet someone who worked in the advertising
and graphic design business who encouraged me further. I entered
Paier Art College in 1973, majoring in advertising and graphic
design. A few days after graduation, I started working for
a well-known Connecticut graphic design company and have not
looked back since. From 1977 to 1994, my career flourished
as a graphic designer and art director. During this time I
worked for six different companies including Cronin &
Company, one of Connecticut’s most respected and creative
ad agencies. I also witnessed how technology changed my industry
dramatically. What used to take weeks to accomplish can now
be done in days or sometimes even hours. I do like to keep
some magic markers, layout pads and a Haberule around for
sentimental reasons though.
